Wild Perennial was established in 2011 by me, Holly Bahnsen, and has evolved greatly over the past decade +

I began making jewelry as a hobby in middle school because I was an indoorsy dweeb who preferred doing arts and crafts over anything physically active. Nowadays I describe myself as medium-outdoorsy but my happy place is wherever I can be creative and make things.

It is important to me to use real pieces of nature. Because Vermont has such long winters, the time there is for nature to flourish is limited to a few short months. When winter sets in, it's easy to forget that the beautiful abundance of life was ever there in the first place. My goal is to preserve the memories of this abundance.

Holly Bahnsen is many things. She’s a bitch, a lover, a child, a [dog] mother, an artist, and a weirdo who lives in Vermont and likes to do things and go places. She takes photos but doesn’t necessarily call herself a photographer, and she knows how to sew but she will not hem your pants, so please stop asking. She lives in Burlington, VT with her tri-paw’d beagle/shop assistant, Penny.
