Preserved Mushroom Necklace

$45.00

Just as many of you imagine, I lead a very whimsical life. 100%. I’m unburdened by mortal disturbances like taxes and credit scores because I am always out sauntering in the woods with my hound, picking flowers and mushrooms and making art out of them. No doom scrolling here. Jealous? You should be. It’s the staggering amount of luck I have acquired from finding ~5–20 four leaf clovers a day that I’m able to sustain this poetic lifestyle.

Alas, what is stated above was a ruse! A little bit of tomfoolery for you. I’m no member of the fae and though I do find ~5–20 four leaf clovers a day, I’m still waiting for the luck to set in. Jokes aside, these necklaces are made with real mushrooms, many of which I picked in the woods behind my parents’ house. Many people ask me how to keep the mushrooms in their necklaces alive and healthy and that’s not a question I anticipated getting nearly every day so I’ll mention here that the mushrooms are dried and preserved so they’re maintenance free! What a relief, huh?

I made the mistake of drying out a fresh harvest on the dashboard of my car a few years ago and the smell has permeated every inch of my poor little 2006 Prius ever since, but if enough people buy a mushroom necklace maybe I can afford to get it detailed. Fingers crossed!
